Unprofessional Staff and Unpleasant Experience
My family and I stayed one night at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was far from a pleasant experience. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and while it initially appeared neat and clean, our stay quickly went downhill.
We were given room 133, which seemed recently renovated. However, instead of the fresh paint smell you'd expect, the room had a very strong damp odor. I approached the hotel staff, specifically Zoe, to request a room change, but was informed the hotel was fully booked. While I understand there were limited options available, Zoe's response was unprofessional and unfriendly.
She offered an air freshener, which I questioned as a solution to such a strong odor. Instead of handling the situation calmly, Zoe raised her voice, which was completely unnecessary. When I asked to speak with a manager, she handed me a card with the hotel’s phone number but informed me that the manager was not on-site, despite it being just 4:20 PM.
The situation escalated to the point where Zoe threatened to call the police but then refused when I requested her to do so, hoping it might help resolve the issue. The next morning, at checkout around 8:20 AM, I asked if the manager was available so I could report Zoe’s behavior, but the manager was still off-site.
Overall, the staff's attitude was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made to both the facility and customer service.
