The hotel was very close to the MVP Arena where I was attending an event which was a plus. It was also close to the Adirondack Trailways bus stop. There were homeless people along the barrier of the hotel which was concerning. The hotel overall was well kept but amenities were basic. Staff was okay but there was no extensive customer service they were only pleasant enough to complete check-in and answered questions and/of only spoke if a question was asked. The pool was nice but there were no towels there on the night of our arrival. The room was basic and clean but the air conditioning was not very cool and it was humid in the room overnight. There are not many dining options close to the hotel but the area was pretty quiet. It was an okay stay but would probably not visit again.

The room was musty and toilet not clean. My daughter immediately said it was musty, then she seemed to have an allergic reaction from sleeping in the room, puffy eyes and sneezing. So, I would recommend sensitive people to find elsewhere. Also, there was an incidental fee of $150 for 2 nights! This was not mentioned anywhere I saw prior and was quite a surprise, especially considering the state of the hotel. We will not stay here again or recommend.

In general, the hotel was dirty. There was visible dirt on the floor of the elevators; the outside entry area; hallway carpets were dirty; carpet in room was stained. I was afraid to walk barefoot in the room. Tub did not have slip protection. "leather" chair in room was sticky. It is a shame that a hotel flying the Hilton Flag could br so shabby.

Room furnishings and carpet were very worn. The air conditioner was set at 66 when we arrived and the room was 66. I set both thermostats to 72 and heat while we went to the pool are to use the jacuzzi. There is no longer a jacuzzi. When we left in the morning the room was at 68 degrees, never made it any warmer.

The ONLY positive I can give is the location, within walking distance to MVP events. Check in staff were almost nonverbal and not a smile among them. Same with check out, only ruder. The only friendly face was in the on-site restaurant. The food and the price, at $27 each for a very lite breakfast was highway robbery. Rooms had peeling paint on ceiling but very clean and comfortable. I expected much higher quality for the super expensive rate and well known name. Would not stay again.
